What this is — and what it isn't
What it is: a public-utility dashboard. The same call I make to
Stripe's /api/v2/summary.json is the call Stripe themselves use to power
their status.stripe.com banner. There's no middleman.
What it isn't: a substitute for Downdetector. Microsoft 365 service health requires admin auth (Microsoft Graph) and can't be exposed publicly — track via your M365 admin center. Telcos (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile), banks, and most consumer apps don't publish a Statuspage feed, so they're not on this board yet. A crowdsourced telco/banking tier is on the roadmap once licensing is figured out.
How to read it: 🟢 operational · 🟡 degraded (some users affected) · 🟠 major outage (broad impact) · 🔴 down (full outage) · 🔵 scheduled maintenance. "Status unknown" means our prober couldn't reach the upstream feed in the last poll — usually transient.
